Pros

iCIMS is a company that has done a lot of growing up over the years. They’ve hit their stride and are performing in ways that other organizations would kill to achieve. The leadership knows how to motivate teams while also doing right by employees. They’ve consistently listened to feedback and implemented a ton of new perks – from tuition reimbursement to more holidays to 401k matching. They’ve given teams flexibility in their working hours and provided a ton of perks to employees who work hard day in and day out. When the company reaches milestones, employees are generously rewarded. After hitting a recent revenue milestone, the CEO and leadership team came up with an innovative way to involve employees in the celebration: a kick-off party, followed by weekly giveaways ranging from sports tickets and TV prizes – to a trip to Paris. This company gets it when it comes to the “work hard play hard” mantra.

Cons

The company is forward thinking in so many ways, I wish they would channel some of that innovation into their talent management operations. From revamping the tedious performance review process, to offering exceptional maternity/paternity leave policies (vs. the minimum or none at all), to following through on the best-in-class recruitment processes they help their customers achieve. iCIMS gets it right in so many ways, but talent acquisition/management is status quo or lagging in quite a few instances (which is ironic given we’re a TA software provider).

Pros

My team was very committed to our customers and very collaborative with each other. Everyone was kind to each other, and historically there had been opportunities for mentorship and career development.

Cons

Unclear expectations from leadership. We always felt like we were trying to play catch up with how things were changing. We also always felt like we were underpaid.
