Pros
- Excellent benefits (Especially the healthcare , unlimited PTO and extra holidays) - The INCREDIBLE people who are in the trenches with you
Cons
I joined iCIMS when it was still known as "NJ's Best Place to Work" and the work life balance and culture is what everyone raved about. Sadly, that took a turn for the worse after Colin Day (who is everything you want in a leader) stepped down as CEO and Steve Lucas took over. Clearly, COVID was a challenging time for all organizations and at first I truly did feel as though iCIMS cared about their employees well being first and foremost. Establishing "Quiet Hours", Recharge Days, putting an emphasis on taking care of yourself and your family first. However, that dissipated quickly and demands began to increase within the business. It became evident that new leadership being brought in to iCIMS were buddies of Steve's who came primarily from SAP, where apparently work life balance was non-existent. It's interesting because all of these high level execs coming in clearly have a cut in the big picture of the iCIMS game and are working insane hours, which is one thing. But to expect team members who have no stake in the game, no potential equity play, ZERO to gain from all this extra work and think they should have to work just as hard and put in extra hours into the weekends etc....that is just completely insane and unfair. It's unfortunate because this company truly used to have such potential. But in all honesty, the leaders here do not know how to lead and empower others to rise up and take on opportunities to develop their own careers. Everyone is out for themselves to make sure they get the visibility needed to keep moving forward. Individual Contributors are promoted to Managers simply because they're good at "doing their jobs", not because they deserve to lead and manage a team. That is a COMPLETELY different skill set that is not acknowledged here. It's frustrating to say the least. All in all, I am thankful to have met some pretty amazing people at iCIMS, but feel horrible for the people still there who are sucked in for one reason or another. I do not recommend the iCIMS that is now, as it has truly lost its heart and soul.
