* Patronizing management all across the line, from top to bottom. Perfect place to be spoken to as if you're a child.
* Say goodbye to any balance you have in life, be prepared to fight for scraps of holidays, weekends, days off, etc. Christmas and Summer are sacred, so you won't see much of it, ever.
* You're always expected to go the so-called extra mile, but be prepared to get nothing in return. Don't expect any favours to be repaid.
* Career progression is limited, sometimes a step backwards with sub-categories where you're promoted, but only "act" as a manager, and get paid for it accordingly. Example: Up ranker positions for nearly anything.
* Curiously, those that get ahead are often involved in personal relationships.
* Everything has to be the cheapest: your food, your uniform, etc.
* You get to pay for training, uniform, passport renewals, etc.
* More and more like Ryanair. Open a base > move people > reduce their presence on that base > force people to move or be sacked. Basically, playing around with everyone's lives at the tiniest swing of the wind. A great proof of fantastic managerial skills.
