Pros
About the only (somewhat) positive benefit of working at Wipro are the benefits. Wipro uses Alight which is an outsourced HR benefits site that combines all of the HR benefits into a single source. They have the typical benefits for medical, dental and 401K.
Cons
Wipro is nothing but a one-off staff aug company that clients use to keep the *real* consulting companies in check for pricing. Wipro has used this model for many, many years. Unfortunately for Wipro, the *real* consulting companies have all pretty much figured this out and launched their own offshore departments and as a result, Wipro's tried and true low-cost model is no longer working for them and they are struggling. On the employee side, Wipro takes absolutely no care for their employees. It is the employee's responsibility to find their own next project within Wipro when their current project ends. As a result project managers get hundreds of pings on email and Teams asking you to staff them on your project which is all a waste of time. This is all manual because Wipro doesn't even have any internal systems to track openings. Unless you are looking for a short-term staff aug gig with a company that will drop you the minute the project is over I would avoid Wipro.
