Pros

Good campus, good cafeteria with quite some food options.

Cons

Lack of project except few locations like Blore/Hyd. Issue with smooth release/notice period. Poor management/work culture/environment. Career growth issues - no mapping with resource skill with work assigned. ------------ A note on what I faced in Wipro Tech.: After I put down my paper I discussed my release data with project manager and finalized a date after 1 month. In the system that date was updated properly. After couple of week I discovered my billing end date updated to a date beyond my release date. I query the manager and then he told me that my release date extended. I informed that my offering company need me to join ASAP. The manager "told" I have to accept the extension no matter what otherwise he can extend my notice period even much more than it is now and nobody can do anything about it. However after all I got a final release date. Then on the last working date at 5:30 pm, I did not yet receive the soft copy of release letter even after lots of follow ups. When I called the off-boarding team, they told me if I don't get it today don't worry 'call us tomorrow, we'll see what can be done'. The 'tomorrow' was my joining in the new company. However after a long fight I got the soft copy. So this last one month in Wipro I realized how it is living in hell, with anxiety, sleeplessness etc...

Pros

There are no pros to working for Wipro.

Cons

This company is a sh** show. There are too many managers and less and less people to do the actual work. They have people that negotiate contracts and then expect the company to make money. In reality, most of the time the contract is basically giving the house away. It is the employees that suffer. When the contracts go south, they cut more people. Those people are then screwed over. Be warned!! If your position ends on the 25th of the month, your health insurance also ends on the 25th of the month. Note that the premium you paid, is not pro-rated, justifying the end of coverage on the 25th. You still pay the usual premium, which should then have your coverage run through the end of the month. If they can destroy a person, they will. They want more and more and more from their employees. While they preach all this mental health, work life balance, it's a sham. They have no regard for the well being of the employee, which carries over to the employee's family.
