Pros

Honorable mission, excellent benefits, dedicated front-line employees. Unparalleled access to personal/professional development. Opportunities to (internally) career change without taking financial step backwards due to unique business model product/services mix. Great campus (San Antonio & Phoenix) with amenities (ex. onsite gyms, food courts, concierge staff for hire, day/summer child care programs, work from home options (most disciplines), non-emergency medical facilities.

Cons

Weak leadership, hero-culture; firefighters are revered but no true appetite for methodical solution planning and data-driven decisions. There are pockets of superior leadership but they are nearly always "tamed" or overcome by the legacy culture. Poor leadership interpretation of enterprise goals and a near non-existent strategic focus on long term impact of business decisions. Dysfunctional executive council; empire-building abounds.
