Pros

Incredible benefits. Great pay for extremely easy work (call center).

Cons

Unfortunately the reputation that USAA has for internal growth opportunity is false. As an internal employee, HR is left out of any internal interviews (I've been through many interviews, I know this from experience), giving hiring managers full reign over who to hire. The chosen candidates are almost always friends & family of managers in that particular department. Although some managers are great, others aren't qualified and only received a promotion because of nepotism. If the company would allow HR back into the internal hiring process, USAA wouldn't be losing so many valuable employees.

Pros

Life work balance, great benefit package and nice colleagues. The goal of the company is providing the best service to its members. So, they treat employees the best to encourage them to do the same for members.

Cons

Slow IT support, limited interactions with industry. Banking business is not as mature as insurance.
