Pros

Pay was good (if you work there over 10 years). Matching 401k up to 8%. Free Gym. Medical and Dental Benefits are ok but were much better several years ago. Full Tuition reimbursement is worth it to get your degree and move on.

Cons

To be honest, this job is back to back telephone calls with little breathing room. If you want time off, you better schedule it months in advance since management will deny because it's too busy. Very little work life balance and most people are on FMLA for the stress everyone is under. In fact management encourages this in order to not be on corrective action. Micromanagement in most areas from management that turns into a witch hunt if you get on their bad side, Coaching every week includes having to listen to your own calls and determine what you did wrong. Many of the tenured knowledgeable people are leaving or are being let go because they are making too much money with contractors taking their places. Almost impossible to move up or around in the company since everyone is looking for jobs off the phones to save their sanity. Not to mention if you are one of those unlucky folks in a bad situation where your manager doesn't like you, HR will not help and in most cases will want to terminate you. The list goes on and on and many of the other cons listed in this forum for USAA are absolutely correct. Think twice before applying to this company.
