I would like to share my experience working at Tesco’s HK office. While many employees have over 10 years of service, there seems to be a disconnect regarding external industry developments. This perspective can lead to a reluctance to embrace new ideas and modern practices, affecting the team's adaptability. Workload can be quite stressful, with urgent tasks often assigned shortly before the end of the workday, requiring immediate attention. Additionally, late-night meetings are not uncommon, which can disrupt work-life balance. HR arrangements can be disorganized, leading to misleading messages regarding leave and onboarding arrangements. Improving clarity and organization in this area would greatly benefit employees. I have also encountered challenges in communication and team management. Enhancing respect and support within the team would be beneficial, as effective communication is crucial for morale and cohesion. Overall, I believe there is potential for improvement in management practices and workplace culture.
