Pros
Lots of experience for new college grads. You start managing a huge team and they do a good job with preparing you for that role.
Cons
Work/life balance doesn't exist. Retail is already a brutal occupation with weekends and nights and early mornings, but Target takes it to another level. You were never "required" by your boss to put in long days, but to be considered for advancement it was essential. I typically worked 60-65 hours a week and this was normal. The current structure is tough to handle b/c you are running $35-55 million dollar stores, but the company is not generous with payroll and at times my store would only be able to afford 2-3 TM's at any one time for the entire sales floor. Just not enough bodies to maintain expectations.
