Pros

Good pay but as an independent we have no benefits and pay our own expenses. As an independent partner I was made to feel a part of the team by other claim reps. The trainers are awesome and always available.

Cons

Permanent team managers more concerned with getting control of the specialty teams instead of supporting us. Flood and complex loss being two of those. They actually bicker over this maybe because these teams are supposed to be on a rotation program but the same people are always in there. It is either very clickish or TM's are making money behind the scenes. Some of these people have been on these teams since 2005 and only go home for a couple months a year. They are independents just like me.

Pros

(At the time) Fair pay and predictable bonus structure They were pretty good at covering travel expenses and paying them back quickly Diverse workforce & diversity initiatives Fun and funny coworkers Opportunities for growth Again, this was all four years ago and has likely changed

Cons

(At the time and now, according to other comments) Arrogant to a fault Total lack of innovation & willingness to innovate Odd attachment to the company's past (which prevents progress) High number of veterans (20+ years) who are determined to get that retirement money, and therefore, are resistant to change and technology Heavy reliance on command and control management style Poor decision-making that leads to losses of all kinds
