Pros

Easy to work here, almost no challenge. Work life balance is good, you can coast here for an exceptionally long time. The new CTO is ushering in quick change technologically that is exciting. We are moving to using modern technical stack and cloud infra, large scale AI adoption as well (usage is optional).

Cons

Absolutely way too many “tech analysts” and “agile leads” whose only job is to be gatekeepers. Still stuck in a bad form of “agile”. Too many teams are “feature factories” for developers, i.e you have no say in the future of the product you are building. Bloomington Corporate folks are disdainfully resistant to change. Management has no clue how RTO will work with most teams spread out in different hub locations.

Pros

(At the time) Fair pay and predictable bonus structure They were pretty good at covering travel expenses and paying them back quickly Diverse workforce & diversity initiatives Fun and funny coworkers Opportunities for growth Again, this was all four years ago and has likely changed

Cons

(At the time and now, according to other comments) Arrogant to a fault Total lack of innovation & willingness to innovate Odd attachment to the company's past (which prevents progress) High number of veterans (20+ years) who are determined to get that retirement money, and therefore, are resistant to change and technology Heavy reliance on command and control management style Poor decision-making that leads to losses of all kinds
