Pros
Annual bonus, and the friendships I’ve made with my peers. That’s pretty much it.
Cons
Everything. We were consistently over worked, underpaid, treated like children rather than professionals, were reprimanded and chided for the smallest errors, and management doesn’t care about anyone but themselves. State Farm is currently undergoing leadership changes which destabilized pretty much every operation, and the message trickling down from the top to claims since Jan 2025 after the bad PR about the LA wildfires, is that *we* (in claims???) were the ones who are supposed to “own” their mistake and fix it. Anyways, State Farm stopped being the “#1 insurer” in the United States in 2025 and management and executives have been scrambling because they are hemorrhaging money, and they are not attracting new policyholders to assist in offsetting the financial demands of claims. Instead of realizing their own moral, ethical, and legal failings in communities they were supposed to help protect, they blame claim adjusters. Two other things that I will say with no additional info and you can fill in the blanks: 1) They are overly gung-ho about AI in claims adjusting/handling 2) They are actively trying to purge remote lines right now as well, so anyone who is a fully remote worker has a target on their back
