Pros
Great company support and management team. Benefits were as good as any, and personally my work environment was excellent in the agent's office.
Cons
As with any sales job, there is a high expectation to meet sales goals... with a life, family, kids -- it is difficult to make a balance of work vs. family obligations. I'm saying if I chose to be a non-participating parent, I may have had more work success with State Farm. My agent attempted to support me, but he had a bottom line to keep and his ear was not always sympathetic as he had a a family and sales to make of his own. If you are wanting to make commission, this is more than a 9-5 job.
