      Good salary, Still remote, at least until I was there!

      Shopify 's culture is marked by intense competitiveness, with employees constantly ranked against each other. This leads to a toxic environment where individuals are quick to criticize others to elevate their own status. Moreover, there's a noticeable gap between leadership and employees, resulting in a lack of understanding and empathy towards the challenges faced by the workforce.

      Pros

      Remote first culture. If you want freedom of location and a company to truly mean and support it - this is the place.

      Cons

      Constant change. Nothing to hold on to in this role, compensation, KPI's, tools all change every quarter.

      Pros

      High comp and AI forward. One of the few remote places left.

      Cons

      Upper management basically openly disdains the “working class”, and it’s a major jostle among the VP and Director level for currying favor with the CEO. The investment in AI tooling is smart but also the C suite majorly suffers from AI psychosis, it’s embarrassing, actually.
