Shell's size affords huge opportunities for development and taking on a variety of jobs. The culture is generally collaborative and there is a strong commitment to safety. Senior management is actively seeking to position the company for the energy transition.
Cons
Decision-making is slow and bureaucratic. It is not yet clear whether a company of Shell's size with its highly ingrained culture is capable of pivoting to the industries that will drive the energy transition. Frequent re-organisations have created a much more political culture than existed in the past.
