Pros

Hard to think of any

Cons

Note: This is a review for India management team and based on my immediate line and its seniors. Expectations are not clear. Manager is lost. Cannot tell what needs to be done. Where do I stand . What needs to be done to go to next level. A lot of noise was made by HR about people survey. No discussion on survey result. HR is clueless and is horrible to discuss any issues. Management feel that it is a favor that we have a job. Most of my immediate Manager are ex IBM who are not at all interested in people development but are here for retirement plans. They are only seen doing stock trading and spending companies money on dinners and outing. Great place for people towards the twilight of career and seeking a fat pay cheque. Policies exist by implementation is very poor. Internal job opportunities are supposedly open but the managers have the last power.

Pros

Early career engineers are given significant ownership and exposure to complex operational challenges. Strong focus on safety, technical development, and collaboration across disciplines. Opportunities to work on high-impact projects, interact with senior leadership, and contribute to decisions affecting major assets and infrastructure.

Cons

Workloads can be demanding, and priorities can shift quickly based on operational needs. Decision-making processes can be slow due to organizational complexity, and geographic mobility may be necessary for certain career opportunities.
