Decent Starting Point - Senior Consultant Protiviti Employee Review

Pros

Decent place to start out of college or graduate school; most of the lower ranks (consultants and senior consultants) are willing to help out if you need it.

Cons

The training for university hires is effectively useless. Management fosters a very high school-ish environment, where how popular someone is socially factors into both reviews and staffing opportunities. Travel is much more than advertised (for example, I traveled non-stop for almost 10 months straight) and they'll often loan staff our to other offices for extended projects and then criticize and offer poor reviews to the individuals who didn't have enough of a "presence" with their home office's teams.

Pros

Good WLB Great Bosses Health insurance & benefits are awesome Very flexible workforce Easy to climb up in promotions

Cons

Pay is below standard (Although I feel you still get paid decently for the area) If you're put on a production project, be ready to feel stuck. Management is very lost on where they want to head into the future. I am worried this company won't last much longer (Former arthur anderson) Can feel clique-y at times amongst peers (but this is not a problem of the company specifically)
