Pros

- If you come in with true consulting experience, you can easily shine as a star - Work/life balance - Good primer for working at a real consulting firm

Cons

- Salaries are ~20-30% less than competitors - 2-4 years behind where competitors are at with new solution offerings and "Innovation" - Technology Consulting offering lacks identity. Protiviti is known for being an Internal Audit firm, with that, building out a Technology Consulting practice felt like it lacked its claim to fame. Most Technology projects are a result of some sort of audit project, are audit in nature, or are very implementation focused. - Will often get staffed on projects outside of your domain to avoid bench time

Pros

Good WLB Great Bosses Health insurance & benefits are awesome Very flexible workforce Easy to climb up in promotions

Cons

Pay is below standard (Although I feel you still get paid decently for the area) If you're put on a production project, be ready to feel stuck. Management is very lost on where they want to head into the future. I am worried this company won't last much longer (Former arthur anderson) Can feel clique-y at times amongst peers (but this is not a problem of the company specifically)

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
