Pros

Many of your direct leaders will care about you and fight for you even though they will ultimately be steamrolled and ignored by upper management.

Cons

As the company grows and gains more profit, they treat employees worse and try to take advantage of the leverage they think they have over us. It always felt like upper management didn't value their employees on an individual level, but recent actions have shown there are entire departments they do not value like they always have claimed to. They gave the tech department responsible for developing and maintaining their software for so many years the equivalent of a corporate middle finger with how they executed the announcement and rollout of returning to office. They do not seem to have any care for the fact that the people they put in this incredibly stressful situation are the ones who allowed them to gain so much profit. Most of our leadership was completely steamrolled and had no input or knowledge of the decision until they announced it suddenly on a random Tuesday before the holidays. Incredibly lacking in taste or empathy. I and many others are disgusted, heartbroken, and stressed with having to find new work because some have extremely little notice.

Pros

The culture is one of the strongest aspects of the company! You’re surrounded by highly driven, intelligent, and motivated individuals who push you to elevate your own performance, all while centering the clients best interests in mind. There is a clear focus on growth—not just professionally, but personally as well. What stands out most is the ability to make a tangible impact. The work we do directly influences our clients’ success, and there are constant opportunities to improve processes, drive efficiency, and deliver meaningful results. If you are someone who wants to contribute ideas, lead initiatives, and see the outcome of your efforts, this is the place to do it! Leadership invests in development, and there are continuous opportunities to learn, mentor others, and refine your skill set. The benefits, compensation, and overall structure support high performance, and the company does a great job recognizing those who deliver results. I highly recommend Paycom as a place of employment.

Cons

The environment is fast-paced and demanding, which can require long hours at times and sometimes frequent travel. However, those hours are purposeful—they directly correlate to the impact you’re making for clients and the success you help drive. For individuals who are motivated by results and thrive in high-performance environments, this becomes more of an opportunity than a drawback.

Pros

Paycom offers very competitive starting pay for the Oklahoma City area. The medical benefit is only $1 for employee only coverage. They also offer something called the Zero Card for medical coverage as well for no cost. Highly recommend using the Zero Card if able to be used. The card can save a significant amount of money. Many of the immediate supervisors and peers you work with are professional. Overall the people are a pleasure to work with.

Cons

There are a lot of changes going on currently. As someone who prefers stability the last two years have been extremely challenging. The workload seems quite excessive as multiple departments have been consolidated. In the last two years I had leaders change about every three months for various reasons. Automation within the company has eliminated many positions this past year. Changes have been made to the medical plans so that several medications are no longer covered. This is extremely unfortunate especially because no one was notified until after open enrollment was completed. One medication for diabetes treatment and weight loss was cut, the company response essentially was "we have a gym, please use it. "
