Pros

The perks are genuinely excellent and your company car is going to be better attended to than just about anything you could afford with the salary. A lot of your co-workers end up being very interesting and kind people. There is a significant amount of flexibility in your hours but it's a two-way street- work flexible hours and then management starts assuming you're available any day if the week at any time.

Cons

Management has little respect for your days off management comes up with a lot of "fun" meetings like a talent show, lunch hour without work talk, and quietly canceling then at the last second. They are also prone to telling you "find a time that's open in my calendar and let's do a call" , not responding, and then asking you to get on calls with less than 10 minutes notice. Although the company was generous and somewhat logical when we switched to working from home (with completely different work, basically an interim position at another department) , returning to the field aspect after that period has been almost offensively stressful. They act like being understaffed is your problem to solve not management's. It's a bunch of peppy, high energy language but at the end of the day they just want you to feel guilty for situations completely out of your control. All in all this is a legitimate company with a lot of upsides, but the MR position isn't really viable more than a year or two. It is DESIGNED to wear people down and i find it almost comical how badly they have treated the effects Covid has had on how the appointments work out. If you're interviewing I actually do recommend trying it out, just go into it knowing that realistically this is meant to be a position you hold a couple of years, make what bonuses you can (it's not bad) , and eventually get out and you realize how little you ever rested.

Pros

Absolutley nothing. Which is a tragedy, because Nielsen was once an absolutely great place to work. I wanted to retire here. The culture used to be great, and I really loved being a part of this place. I loved my team, my management, and the people. Then along came the current CEO who is the classic example of a person who knows the cost of everything, but the value of nothing. He took over and ran the company full speed ahead in to the iceberg. And to try and save the sinking ship, he laid off literally thousands of highly experienced, highly trained, and highly engaged people to replace them with fresh overseas hires who know nothing about the company and expect them to be trained from the ground up to replace literally centuries of collective expererience and client relations. It's a disaster. This CEO shouldn't be trusted to run a lemonade stand.

Cons

Everything. Pay, job security, culture, management. Nothing is good here anymore. Don't take a job here unless you are truly desperate. And even then, it should only be as a stop-gap until you can find something else.
