Pros

Yearly feedback from staff on things that are ok, things which need improvement on, cheap food choices around office

Cons

Don’t really encourage wfh and if you need to wfh often due to family needs, you will be judged, despite you have been having good ratings in the past they will just anyhow said your performance for that year is not up to standard and suggesting to you not to wfh. A lot companies were surprised that I had to go back to office during COVID-19 although govt allows up to 50 or 70% to go back as they have been working wfh with the use of technology. KPMG is very lag behind in terms of the daily tool we used resulting in a lot manual work. Manager and above levels got no power to make decision or approve matters and got to depend on partners unlike in other MNCs. Salary also way lower than other mncs

Pros

It might sound cliche but the Pro for me is the people that I work with. I'm lucky enough to be staffed in a team with great leadership. Managers are actually willing to coach junior members and be a real mentor. I very much appreciate their efforts.

Cons

Long hours and office politics. This is pretty basic and obvious for any public accounting firms. Every time a quarter end, year end, or a special filing is going out, you can expect 10-14 hour days. It might be fine in your early career but it gets really tiring after a few years.
