      Pros

      I worked at JESS, the best thing is your exposed to a different culture and get help with school.

      Cons

      I worked at JESS. The setting was more like a call centre setting had to work on Jamaican holidays, the system was flawed, the people there not nice and only promote you based on favours or If they like you. had to attend alot of meetings with the employers them in USA who were very hard to please. managers are like puppet on a string for the onshore USA employers. your a support staff and so is treated as such. hated the experience. do not leave your job to go to JESS, it's best you go to KPMG Jamaica, the audit firm.

      Pros

      It might sound cliche but the Pro for me is the people that I work with. I'm lucky enough to be staffed in a team with great leadership. Managers are actually willing to coach junior members and be a real mentor. I very much appreciate their efforts.

      Cons

      Long hours and office politics. This is pretty basic and obvious for any public accounting firms. Every time a quarter end, year end, or a special filing is going out, you can expect 10-14 hour days. It might be fine in your early career but it gets really tiring after a few years.
