Pros

-Young peer group -Tax free salary -Island living -Access to Travel in the region

Cons

-Crazy hours -An unacceptable amount of pressure is placed on supervisors and assistant managers to complete work with little guidance and support from management and been made accountable when unsurprisingly the work cannot be completed -Managers often do not have the experience to competently manage the project -HR has been known to gossip openly about others performances in the elevator -There have been cases whereby people have been fired on the spot, had visas revoked and forced to leave island. -You are locked into the job, there have been instances of partners blocking transfers and phoning other employers on the island to prohibit movement out the firm -Extremely high turnover of staff

Pros

It might sound cliche but the Pro for me is the people that I work with. I'm lucky enough to be staffed in a team with great leadership. Managers are actually willing to coach junior members and be a real mentor. I very much appreciate their efforts.

Cons

Long hours and office politics. This is pretty basic and obvious for any public accounting firms. Every time a quarter end, year end, or a special filing is going out, you can expect 10-14 hour days. It might be fine in your early career but it gets really tiring after a few years.
