Pros

-High standard of co-workers at all levels - intelligent, hardworking, skilled, and pleasant is the rule (though not without exceptions, obviously). Strong team bonding culture. -Good pay -A lot of tolerance in the company culture for individuality. -Decent prioritization of work/life balance. -Vocal support for diverse team members in terms of race/ethnicity/sexuality/gender/etc.

Cons

-Nickel and diming on IT support gets worse and worse; we're expected to troubleshoot things with the help of guides from the company intranet and our department gets charged high rates for calling IT support. Wastes a lot of time and effort and stress. -There's a lot of talk about a "culture of respect" among all employees, but as tends to be the case, it's often lip service, and it's hard to get anything done about the occasional abusive or otherwise problematic superior (thankfully not too common in my experience). -CEO Jamie Dimon is an arrogant blowhard who openly expresses contempt for the idea of lower level employees working from home part of the week, and his belief that they're ripping him off by slacking; the pressure is on for our department to drop WFH entirely. -Nickel and diming on health benefits is a bit shocking given the size and wealth of the firm; high deductibles, lots of jumping through hoops.

Pros

1. One of the best banks, heavy on tech and AI, that makes my life simple 2. Bonus is consistent every year 3. The company is highly social and multicultural. 4. A lot of training program to upskill and develop.

Cons

1. A lot of administrative items to take care of, a significant portion is spent on meetings, meetings are called to establish an agenda for next meetings, and so on. 2. Layoffs, all year round- sometimes significant, while in the middle of delivery. If your manager is off-site/ another city/country, you are more likely to be impacted. 3. Departments may have skewed gender or racial ratios. It is best to stay away to avoid discrimination (to be fair, this has less to do with culture and more to do with who the head of the department is).
