Pros

They employ people based on their values. Unfortunately the reason for that is to exploit those values for the business's financial gain. "Togetherness" has a whole new meaning after you've worked for IKEA. And it's got very little to do with working together.

Cons

I could write an essay, but in summary it's a very toxic environment. The company should stop onboarding people with the IKEA values and IKEA code of conduct when your whole organisation operates against it in all circles of upper management I have experienced. Women sleep their way to the top. Toxic alpha male behaviour is not only tolerated but it's rewarded, and morals and ethical question marks in business decisions or HR management is quickly met with "in order to align with our values..." non committal "people and culture" jargon. It's a tragic, toxic environment and if you are a woman, expect to work longer hours because the expectations are greater and expect to do it for less money than your male counterpart who should be a pay grade beneath you... because...well...as cringy as it is... he's one of the "boys" who is kissing your bosses behind and buying him pints at the pub when the football is on. If you're a manipulative human being, the world is your blue and yellow Scandinavian oyster. Otherwise, for people who expect humanity, dignity, respect and to feel like you are being paid your worth, avoid at all costs. It's just, absolutely, not worth it, in any way.

Pros

Good work environment Pay is good Job keeps you busy

Cons

Lack of communication with leadership and coworkers. Leadership seems to have favorites Schedule takes too long to make Seems that there's people who would like the be full time or part time that are temporary right now aren't getting the positions. Feels like nepotism but maybe I'm wrong. Getting responses like you didn't get the job because you didn't answer your interview questions right just seems unnecessary The amount of drama happening is getting out of hand and leadership doesn't seem to care
