Pros

Pay, good teammates, customers are fine, job is easy when you aren't being micromanaged

Cons

First of all, the upper level managers. They talk down to people, bully their subordinates, micromanage even though they are, in my opinion, incompetant. I find them to be lazy and vindictive. Sadistic, in a word. There are rumors of corruption and nepotism but I won't make claims here. I have yet to meet a single person who doesn't loathe and avoid them like the plague. IKEA in general: the seasonals had to wait 2 months after an interview to hear if they were rehired for fulltime. No communication, a new story every day. Between corporate and upper management, the process still isn't over after 2.5 months. Unbelievable. You shouldn't jerk people around like that. It is unethical. Oh, and the seasonals had to reapply and go through a second round of interviews. Communication is bad. You have to rely on hearsy and word of mouth and things change week to week or even day to day. It drives you insane. I find it to be torturous. Unfortunately I cannot get too specific since I don't want to deal with a lawsuit. Suffice to say, the job is great, but there is so much truth to "the people make the job" that it hurts. No one wants to go to HR about management because they don't want to lose their jobs. I had high hopes for this store and I am sorry to see it fail (in my eyes). I take good leadership very seriously and that appears to be at odds with store 569. If you like open communication, healthy boundaries and autonomy, I do not recommend this store. I am sorry to be so negative but I have such a bad taste in my mouth I am virtually nauseous.

Pros

Good work environment Pay is good Job keeps you busy

Cons

Lack of communication with leadership and coworkers. Leadership seems to have favorites Schedule takes too long to make Seems that there's people who would like the be full time or part time that are temporary right now aren't getting the positions. Feels like nepotism but maybe I'm wrong. Getting responses like you didn't get the job because you didn't answer your interview questions right just seems unnecessary The amount of drama happening is getting out of hand and leadership doesn't seem to care
