Disposable employees, a mess of politics and personal agendas hidden under spectacular benefits - Engineering Husky Injection Molding Systems Employee Review

Pros

The benefits are second to none: free gym, cheap cafeterias, luxury daycare (not free) and good coverage. Nice campus. It all looks so good at the interview.

Cons

The benefits are great but it's all designed to draw a continuous flow of new talent. The place is a revolving door with extreme turnover. New employees get no due process: you can be fired without cause at your manager's whim. Politics are rampant and effect your every task, even bathroom breaks are timed by managers in other departments. Your review process involves your manager's comments and observations by other managers, and that's when you find out just how many people are observing and making notes on you. It's a police state: security watches, IT watches, even your cafeteria purchases are recorded and reported. If you make it, you're golden until the next round of layoffs, but for every successful employee there are dozens of cast-offs. You must adopt Husky Values which, while noble for the public, also include some too-noble things like snitching on co-workers. The daycare uses the company intranet to distribute calendars and pictures, but you can be fired instantly for looking at them as it's personal use.

Pros

Good pay, some might say above industry average. pretty good PTO, no micromanaging, great people to work with.

Cons

The work load is quite crazy. All about results and performance metrics. Not a lot of mentorship or carrier growth. Sink or swim kind of attitude. The pay structure does not encourage team collaboration between internal sales groups even though that is what management encourages. You have to compete against your own collegueas.

Pros

Honestly, my coworkers are the only reason I'm still here.

Cons

Forced unpaid furlough. No increase in PTO after being with the company for a significant chunk of years. Insurance through the company is so bad most places don't accept it anymore-dentists, doctors, PT's. Recently reverted all their hybrid work policies, despite years (5+) of successful WFH, everyone must go in the office full time. As a global company, they're constantly trying to cut costs by hiring interns instead of full time ppl or hiring ppl in countries that are cheaper. The office in America has the lowest number of holidays out of all the other offices (Bolton, Lux, etc). The holiday's are religiously based. Every time the company is bought, big changes occur-like this latest change of making everyone go in the office full time. DEI is superficial.
