Pros

They will put up with you. At Hays they seldom fire people even with poor performance (mainly because the retention of consultants is poor in Cheapside). Training is above average - role plays are based on the ideal scenarios, not real life. It is not hard to get in. If you are liked you will be looked after.

Cons

Office politics particularly Directors and the MD is tiresome and they are out of touch with the front-line of recruitment. There are a lot of cliques in Cheapside. Base salary and commission structures are poor. Once you have resigned you are a reject - no thank you, or good luck. Micro managed. Sales Days.

Pros

Great place for new recruiters to gain experience. A lot to learn. Younger crowd, fun teams.

Cons

Competitive, people that weren't succeeding would be put on PIPs and eventually let go. Can be some micro-managing. Not all managers created equal - some great, some not so great.
