Pros

I know a lot of companies say this, but the people here are incredible. I feel very comfortable bringing my authentic self to work. Very collaborative team. Your voice gets heard here. Lots of opportunity to work on the broader business if you are interested Room to move across the business Remote first company Benefits: unlimited PTO that is encouraged, 100% paid medical (self), 6 month maternity leave and 3 month paternity leave, 5k 401k match, stock options

Cons

Being remote first, you dont have many opportunities to meet colleagues in person if you do not live in a city with a Glassdoor office (SF, Chicago, Dublin) The partnership with Indeed is still developing Day to day can get repetitive/stale if you are not actively seeking new challenges or opportunities to learn

I'm so humbled to see all of the ""Pros"" that resonate with you and think you're spot on when it comes to bringing your most authentic self to work. Collaboration is a necessary component to the success of our GTM organization and something everyone is incredibly passionate about at Glassdoor! At times, being remote can be tough, so I certainly empathize with that. With that said, I think having the autonomy and flexibility of a remote-first policy is something most people crave. This just means folks who are more extroverted (like me!) need to put in meaningful effort to stay connected to teammates, cross-functional partners, etc. -- this is something our People team is committed to now and into the future. - Brett Runyan, VP of GTM

Pros

The benefits and culture were probably the best I've ever had. Even better than the benefits were the people I worked with. I enjoyed coming into work and doing my job and really stood behind the company tag line of helping people find jobs they love.

Cons

During covid things started getting bad. Like many other companies layoffs came around and how the company handled those were terrible. You show up one day and next thing you know you lose access and cryptic email and then your'e gone. This happened again in 2025. They brought in person whose job it was to basically get people to leave. They didn't care about the content on the site, or any of the efforts in place to promote integrity and transparency and instead just wanted to shove AI down everyone's throat. What's sad is that Glassdoor was once a great company that I was proud to say I worked for. Now it's just like everywhere else, AI, AI, AI and trying to get people to quit before the next round of layoffs.
