Pros

- No expectations to respond off-hours or work overtime - Initial training provided - There is an effort to provide multiple career progression paths

Cons

Management is a mess, particularly on the upper end. Expect: - projects to materialize and then be de-prioritized without explanation - important decisions made that ignores analyst's work and opinions, either because "that's how x competitor does it" or just because - department shuffling every few months - outdated values, like a constant push for return-to-office throughout the COVID-19 pandemic even before vaccines were available - implementation of industry best practices only exists if a team decides its worthwhile, with no standardization of practices across teams or departments: software/tool documentation is sparse or uselessly outdated, version control is often nonexistent, testing? does a peer check count? Agile exists at least and there's verbal acknowledgment that many systems could be better, but good luck seeing changes unless you're willing to constantly push and implement them yourself. High turnover and new hires usually being fresh graduates doesn't help.

Pros

Strong opportunities for career growth Many people are willing to mentor and support others without expecting anything in return Supportive culture, even from people who may not know you personally Increased focus on education and development, especially for leaders More company activities at the local office, which has been a welcome change Fun associate engagement opportunities like escape rooms, art activities, games, and food events So many opportunities for recognition

Cons

There are still some areas where the company appears to be rebuilding trust and confidence Change is noticeable and appreciated, but some improvements are still in progress Feedback has clearly helped shape recent changes, and it will be good to see that progress continue
