Pros

The office and the people are as nice as they seem, and when you hear about a great culture and fun events and free lunches during the interview, most of it is true.

Cons

During my first interview with the team, I brought up my concern with regards to work hours and expectations - especially given some of the reviews on this site. When this was discussed during the interview process, I was told repeatedly that "work-life balance" is priority number one, that's its so important to the company, and that happy employees and time with friends/family is ingrained in the culture at Flipp. They were so convincing, and they people are great, so I decided to take the job. But expectations starting from Day 1 could not have been further from what was described to me during the interview process. Senior Management expected me to be "online" and available every night, and if I ever missed a call from them after work hours, for whatever reason, they acted like I had committed a crime. It seemed like there was a deadline to meet that forced me to stay in the office until 8pm at least once a week. This is not a healthy environment and I wish I had listened to others. People break themselves working here - I saw it time and time again and I was only there for a short time. Make sure you really do your homework - there's too many disgruntled past employees for them all to be weak performers or non-cultural fits or bad people as they're described during the interview process.
