Pros

- (Used to be) Good at landing you opportunities with big MNCs, client base used to be filled with tier 1 companies, - Awesome account managers that will do their best to help land you a role and check in on you - When you do not have a project, you work mostly from home, with only 1 or 2 days in the office - Most of the time, you decide what you want to do or upskill in. Full autonomy. - Training bond is just a deterrence to scare you from breaking bond, it is not enforceable and there are no cases of it being enforced. - Potentially able to increase your last drawn substantially as an entry-level IT individual. The price they are charging their clients for your headcount is absurd but I am thankful for that.

Cons

- Zero support in upskilling after your training ends, you learn on your own online. - Coaches will only give you materials to work with, they apparently do not have time to dedicate to you, though most of the time they seem really free. The internal staff including coaches do have the time and energy to celebrate birthdays and events all the time, but none to prepare you better for opportunities. They seem to just be here for an easy day job, possibly to wait for retirement. - Internal staff have the free time to actually keep an eye on you and calculate your punctuality to the minute. Do remember to take pictures as proof when you step in office. - Internal company policies change at the blink of an eye. Currently, you will require 28 days notice to take 1 day of annual leave, as per their staff handbook. Do take a close look at every word in your employment contract before signing. - When you are good or new, they will leave you be and be nice to you. When they feel that you have outlived your worth as a consultant, they will stoop low to nitpick on your faults, finding every reason to make your life hard in a bid to get rid of you. - They do not like change, recommendations and suggestions fall on deaf ears, with no sight of any effort to improve culture within. - Small office space for number of consultants, therefore they will give you flexibility to work from home. It benefits them too. - They will not reinvest in you, you are a product of the company and you will also be treated as such. They will just focus on pushing you out to clients and you will earn roughly 40%-45% of what the company is actually paying FDM. - Pipeline of opportunities not looking good, times are bad for IT sector and companies are already dropping FDM contracts. Do expect a long waiting time being benched, estimated gap will be 6-9 months per opportunity, unless you are really lucky. Many people are waiting for the opportunities and will need to fight for it amongst your peers

Pros

It is a job that pays.

Cons

They will promise you opportunities that don't exist. The company they contract you to will promise you work that you will not be assigned. I was a Java Consultant with a masters degree in Math and certificate in full stack and I was shoved into a manual testing position that required zero coding and constantly dangled automation in front of my face. When I was asked to look at Selenium, I studied it in some of the copious amounts of downtime i had and was reprimanded during the next meeting for 'wasting company time'. I moved from Texas to New Jersey for my first position. After contracts with the company were terminated, I was pulled off my assignment only to be abruptly fired for "lack of geoflexibility" despite willingness to move to several places they do business including NYC and even Denver. There is no accountability from them as the only response they give is "the decision is final". There is no way to appeal a blatant lie. Their company has no integrity and side with business majors over people that know how chemicals and physics and electrical components work just seem like bad life decisions. They will say you can reapply but they won't hire you. They'd full of it at every angle.
