Probably the best job I've ever had - Anonymous Experian Employee Review

Pros

I had never worked with identity and fraud folks before. This was hands down the most ethical and down to earth group I could have found (based in AZ). Our clients were huge, but we all shared in a mission to rid the world of bad actors. I guess that might seem surprising given this was at an evil credit bureau, but actually, everyone across the company was sane, mature and kind. I had a chance to learn, spread my wings, take risks and was supported when I failed.

Cons

It's a big company, and whenever there are tectonic shifts in one large area of the business, the ripples can be felt in others. Not sure how true that is or whether I was just perceiving it at the time, but with the great opportunities that come with working in a large company full of diverse opportunities, there are also plenty of times where changes occur and they're completely out of your control.

Pros

Decent salary & benefits, monthly no internal meeting days

Cons

Friendly reminder that HR does not care about you. They care about staff with seniority, whom they will allow to retaliate despite that being against company policies. Think twice about reporting the higher ups because it will come back to haunt you, guaranteed. Also, AI is the only thing that matters anymore. Watching the volume of once-impressive colleagues become so single and simple minded through constant AI usage is not only disappointing but genuinely alarming. Thinking for oneself is no longer the standard, it seems, and speaking against such unfettered use of AI in all things will get you professionally ostracized.
