Great place to work but lots of redundancy and busy work - Senior Project Management Specialist Experian Employee Review

Pros

The pay and benefits are great, the people are helpful, and the executive level team truly seems to care about employees attitude and well-being instead of viewing them as another expensive line item. A lot of senior executives are female and I think some of this compassion stems from them. People take feedback seriously and will actually change and update processes if you propse a legitimate solution. There are two programs for this, "Hackathons" and "EmPower". The executive team cars and knows what they are doing. They have great plans for the future, act on those plans, and share progress with employees.

Cons

Outdated systems and technology leads to lots of manual and time consuming work. Entrenched employees are stuck in their ways and dont realize a lot of the work they are doing is redundant and unnecessary yet it's causing them to drown in work. Corporate communications are incredibly redundant and excessive. I'll recieve four different emails from four different VP/execs on the same basic topic, plus four different web conferences so each of the execs can talk about the exact same thing four different times.

Pros

Decent salary & benefits, monthly no internal meeting days

Cons

Friendly reminder that HR does not care about you. They care about staff with seniority, whom they will allow to retaliate despite that being against company policies. Think twice about reporting the higher ups because it will come back to haunt you, guaranteed. Also, AI is the only thing that matters anymore. Watching the volume of once-impressive colleagues become so single and simple minded through constant AI usage is not only disappointing but genuinely alarming. Thinking for oneself is no longer the standard, it seems, and speaking against such unfettered use of AI in all things will get you professionally ostracized.
