Pros

Great place to work and learn with a lot of nice people and you are working for the industry leader in credit data and get to work with blue chip companies, big banks and small organisations too, so varied workload.

Cons

Senior people in the organisation are racist and bully you when they don't get their own way. Very old school finance business with soo many processes and red tape it is honestly suffocating top try and introuduce any change. They don't even pay market rate and are soo tight when it comes to expenses!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We’re encouraged to know that you feel Experian is a great place to work, that there were learning opportunities and that our position as a market leading organisation offered you varied work across different sectors. We are concerned about your experience and that you feel there was any form of racial bias during your time with us. This is something we take very seriously and if you feel comfortable contacting me directly, I’d appreciate a conversation about your experience. You can contact me at jane.avison@experian.com. We are continually striving for improvement, and diversity, inclusion and belonging continues to be an important area of focus for us. We have made progress over the past 12 months in particular, with the creation of the Black in Experian network, the REACH (Race Ethnicity and Cultural Heritage) network. We have run numerous events, roundtables and resources available internally for all of our colleagues to educate themselves and hear from colleagues from all backgrounds. We take any instance of discrimination incredibly seriously and actively encourage our employees to not only support each other, but to take action, speak up and be intentional when it comes to diversity and inclusion. We appreciate your views and your experience, and as mentioned would value any further discussion on this topic. With regards to processes, we operate in a heavily regulated environment and therefore sometimes there may be diligence or procedures required in order to be compliant and do the right thing for our colleagues and customers. These procedures are critical to protecting our data and our reputation as a secure, trusted, market leading organisation and by having the right amount of governance in place this helps us to do all of the right things for our clients and for consumers. We see this as the right approach and we work hard to ensure that we are as efficient in doing this as possible, but we are continually striving for improvement and your feedback is fed back in to the business. In the UK business, salaries are reviewed annually in line with the external market and extensive research, and this process is communicated at both a regional and business unit level. There are lots of guides, tools and resources available that detail how the salary and benefits programmes work and regular communications, webinars and materials are shared throughout the year, particularly in February and March in the time leading up to the annual benefits window opening. Thank you again for taking the time to leave a review, and please do not hesitate to get in touch. Jane Avison – Employer Brand Manager

Pros

Decent salary & benefits, monthly no internal meeting days

Cons

Friendly reminder that HR does not care about you. They care about staff with seniority, whom they will allow to retaliate despite that being against company policies. Think twice about reporting the higher ups because it will come back to haunt you, guaranteed. Also, AI is the only thing that matters anymore. Watching the volume of once-impressive colleagues become so single and simple minded through constant AI usage is not only disappointing but genuinely alarming. Thinking for oneself is no longer the standard, it seems, and speaking against such unfettered use of AI in all things will get you professionally ostracized.
