Pros
Colleagues are friendly and helpful. Managers are open to feedback, and accommodate accordingly.
Cons
Personally, just because the culture isn't bad, it doesn't mean it's great. A lot of decisions are made by the higher-ups (i.e. the UK team), so the Malaysian team can't really negotiate or have any say on the direction of the project, even if we unanimously believe the effort/time isn't worth it. Cross-site communication is difficult due to time difference. A lot of time is wasted "asking for feedback" from higher ups. We have autonomy in how we execute our work, but not decision-making.
