Pros

You will make lifelong friends who are passionate and hardworking individuals. You will have many opportunities to cut loose in a way as the executive management team likes to have random parties and celebrations for the most banal of things, and keep in mind, that this is all done to artificially inflate the morale of the company as when you walk the halls of both suites, you will rarely see a smiling face except when employees are leaving for the day. The office is very nice and well kept and facility is also very clean and organized with a self-serve refreshment area off the lobby that is always well-stocked full of both healthy and not so healthy choices.

Cons

Let me create an introduction to what I am about to share with you. Are you ready? Okay. This is by far the most corrupt, greedy, and mind-boggling company I have ever worked for. Now that I have gotten that out there to you, let's begin by delving into what makes this company really that bad. First of all, they have a knack for firing people for whatever reasons they see fit. I have worked here for just under a year now and have seen at least well over 50 people come and go for various reasons and I do understand that some of those "disappearances" are considered voluntary, but overall, when you have at least 50+ people in less than a year leave either voluntary or involuntary, that usually denotes a cultural issue with the company as a whole. When you start working here, it will most likely be your first opportunity to work in a corporate environment and Epitec makes it so by having guidelines on who they hire and don't hire (0 - 1 year of experience in a sales/ marketing role is fine but more than that and they will probably overlook your resume as being too experienced). Next, like stated in the pros, you will make many friends that are roughly around the same age as you and once again this is made artificially so as they do not hire anybody over a certain age so don't expect to see many 30 something people roaming the halls, as they won't be found. But coming back to my point, you will make friends, and will have some great experiences with them, in the occasional happy hours that the company likes to throw for God only knows what reasoning, but and this is a huge but, DO NOT get close to any of them, as you will be sadly disappointed by the eventual outcomes. Like stated, I have seen 50+ people come and go, including many friends with whom I've shared personal things with. It can be compared to any slasher movie where the movie starts off with a big, solid group of friends who throughout the run time of the film become less and less, succumbing to the killer/ monster archetype until there is just you, wondering when your time will come as well. I can't tell you how many times I have looked over my soldier expecting today to be the day. Its nerve wracking, absolutely insane to constantly wonder when you will be getting that email from management, or the tap on the shoulder from one of the HR Lackey's just "following orders". You will also be expected to live up to crazy metrics in order to keep your job from week to week. Most people don't live up to these stats that they want all employees to follow, but nonetheless they are their and you will be thinking about them every single day while you are working here. Oh and if you are not living up to the metrics, then you will be asked quite often, "If you like your position here?" and will be told my personal favorite, "Your numbers are looking a bit low, would you have time to come in over the weekend, stay late every single day this period?" Needless to say, work/ life balance is nonexistent in this corporate wasteland of an office, and you will not be compensated for any of the work you do beyond 40 hours so enjoy that thought while you are in an empty office on a Saturday morning/ afternoon. Also, and this has always bothered me, but all of management will frequently swear blithely like they are talking about the weather at any point in a given day. I don't know if this is to seem hip like the one college professor who would swear throughout lecture or what, but it's pretty bizarre. Now I know we are all adults but whatever happened to professionalism and knowing what to say and when to say it type of thing?! Also, there will be plenty of inappropriate jokes at every meeting and instance where management will interact with the rest of the staff. Also and I must point this out because it seems a bit odd to me but for a minority owned company that celebrates that fact and relishes to make it known quite often, there are very few "minorities" in the company headquarters and in the executive management and account management team. Just a bit peculiar to me. I could go on and on about why this company is basically a joke but I digress. If you are looking for a company to settle into and grow roots into, then please take my advice and move on to a different company as the concepts of stability and growth have never existed in this company. I wish you luck in your career searches.
