Pros

If I could I would give Epitec a zero star rating. This company is truly vindictive and will try to destroy you if you chose to leave their unethical work environment. When reading these reviews, most people might think, oh this employee gave a bad review because they were a bad employee. For me this isn’t the case, I worked hard for this company, I was successful with this company, and I was repeatedly let down and disappointed. I received several awards and was also awarded Presidents Club in 2014.

Cons

Where do I begin.... First, Epitec does not "place people first". Epitec puts itself first, granted it is a company and companies are in business to "make money" as Epitec's COO consistently states. However, this company feels that in order to be successful they must create a corporate environment that installs fear into its employees. Fear of being fired for asking about additional opportunities in the company. Fear of being let go simply because you chose not to accept a promotion or attend an event when asked. Fear of having a life outside of work because if you don't breathe Epitec it is implied that you don't take your job seriously. Second, the base salary is inconsistent throughout the organization and grossly underpaid for the industry. Most employees are entry level, straight out of college, and unaware of what the industry standards would be. The indication is that the incentives and commissions will make up the difference for what the industry is paying employees who perform the same duties. Personally, with Epitec I was incredibly disappointed by a company that I worked very hard for and was successful with. I was a top performing recruiter in my first year and received a promotion to Delivery Lead shortly after my year anniversary. With the promotion I received a salary increase, which proved to be insignificant. A few months later our performance reviews were conducted and recruiters who were reporting to me that had been there the same amount of time as me, were making the same amount as I was. Sometimes these recruiters were making more since they were eligible for incentives that I was not. Also, I was managing an account that was considered client facing which required more responsibility than that of a delivery lead. I took these additional responsibilities head on and became successful quickly in my new role. All of this success and I was still being paid that of a recruiter who started only a few months earlier than I did.

Pros

With the experience I have had, I can honestly say that there is nothing good or genuine about Epitec.

Cons

Epitec is a profoundly immoral and malevolent company to work for, they are the definition of evil. In my time with Epitec and in my time since I have left Epitec I have come to understand that they can only operate on FEAR. The executives instill fear into their employee’s by constantly reminding them that they are replaceable. The turnover at Epitec is 100%, after all. The team at Epitec also creates an environment where individuals are afraid to leave and move forward in their career. The COO might like you to believe that Epitec has its’ employee’s best interest at heart, and will respond to these negative reviews with comments like, “We take risks by hiring Entry Level Recruiters”, “Epitec empowers and invests in its employees for the individuals future and the individuals success”, and “Most Millennial’s only stay in a position for 3 years on average”, keeping in mind that when you leave (regardless of if you chose to part ways or are let go) you will be presented with a legal situation. All staffing/recruiting agencies do have a non-compete but Epitec takes it to the extreme, they will come after you regardless of why you left and where you go. Please I beg of you, consider other options before fueling Epitec with another entry level recruiter who they will scar for the rest of their career. You deserve better!
