I applied online. I interviewed at Epitec (Dearborn, MI) in Jun 2026
Interview
The position I applied for was an Angular role, and the recruiter mentioned it required about 70% Angular and 30% Java. This was for Ford. However, during the interview, they seemed to be looking for someone with strong Java expertise. The job posting shared on LinkedIn by the recruiting consultancy appears to be misleading. I would not have applied if it had been clearly presented as a Java-focused role.
I was contacted by a recruiter regarding a potential opportunity with Meta, and the initial conversation was very positive and encouraging. I was told I would hear back within a couple of days regarding next steps.
Unfortunately, after that initial outreach, communication became inconsistent. I followed up multiple times via phone and email and received limited responses. While I understand that hiring processes can change or be delayed, the lack of follow-through and updates made the experience feel unclear and ultimately unprofessional.
A simple update or closure would have gone a long way in maintaining a positive candidate experience.
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Epitec (Chicago, IL) in Sep 2025
Interview
Overall experience was not good. They first told me, they went with another candidate, then called back a day later and offered me the position but I had to do another interview. The recruiter told me that it would be a one part interview, it was just too much back and forth. They literally gave me the run around to deny me the position. During the teams meeting they didn’t even have there cameras which made me feel uncomfortable.
