      Pros

      Flexibility, self-direction, earning potential. The opportunity is there and for those who enjoy chasing a goal - Edward Jones offers you a good way to get started in the industry. The education is pretty good, though the Jones business model is difficult. Advisory tools, support and guidelines are good.

      Cons

      Door knocking. Reliance on contact volume vs quality contacts. Very little assistance beyond cheerleading and opinions from senior advisors. Business model is horribly antiquated. Just remember…at the end of the day you are a salesperson trying to hit your quota.

      Pros

      They have allowed the HBA’s (home based associates) to remain remote

      Cons

      Micromanagers, they say they are okay if you want to apply to another department within the firm but the minute you do it’s like you get a target on your back. The pay doesn’t match the workload and the word is that you have to quit and then come back to make what you should already be getting paid. Benefits are terrible but 401k is pretty good
