Pros
Excellent Training at the home office. The training is very structured and provides some good information. Good work/home balance. Excellent support from the regional leader. Lots of freedom with little or no supervision. Excellent professionalwebsite . Excellent literature(if you can afford it)
Cons
"Door Knocking" is a not a good use of time and is a non effective sales/marketing method for the Northeast, especially for a new FA attempting to establish a new office. The odds of success are very low using this method. The sales/marketing approach must be changed. The company is not well known here and in today's climate people on the "other side of the door" have an issue trusting anyone from "Wall Street." The Field Trainer(s) should be more involved and available for assistance. In closing, be prepared to do alot of "cold walking/door knocking" for little or no reward. Bring some dog treats to prevent being attacked by a dog. If you have the financial resources to last a few years to get established you have a chance to succeed. If not...... you will end up like most.... forced to throw in the towel and work for a firm that is more established( brand awareness) and one that has a modern and effective sales/marketing approach . This is crucial for a new FA to have a chance to succeed. Good Luck !!
