Pros

1. Good R&R 2. Sales commissions and accelerators.

Cons

1. 5 Days RTO 2. Never ending layoffs. 3. Too much reliance on AI where all Dell is doing is selling GPU servers. 4. Bad Local Management and Global Leadership. 5. They have implemented windfall so it's possible that sales rep may not get paid on the deal if it gets classified as windfall. 6. Managers say things like they have done stack ranking of team members and have finalized the list of team members who will be laid off in next round of layoffs in team meetings. 7. There is also a possibility that if a Sales Rep overachieves, leadership may cap the payout with a reasoning that the quota was wrongly set and then Sales Rep may just keep fighting with management to get his commissions paid. 8. Bad decisions on product and services and they tend to shoot their foot. 9. They have mastered the art of taking U turns on everything. 10. None of the employees I know plan on staying with Dell if they find another job, therefore everyone is looking out and already mentally signed out of Dell.

Pros

The people are the best part of this job. I have met so many amazing people in this role. Even some I would consider life long friends. I think the experience gained from this job has also been useful for any sales role you may need for any future endeavors in sales or the tech industry.

Cons

Upper management has made many changes to the compensation and the metrics which has for sure effected employee satisfaction. Turnover rate is insane as there’s a new hire class literally every month. Dell itself is running out of room and they are not making any new teams for the new hire classes which has left more tenured reps in a vulnerable position.
