Pros

Terrific inclusive culture (on the surface); yearly survey to get feedback; training available (and some mandatory) to everyone.

Cons

Pay isn’t up to industry standards; for a high-tech company, they are behind the technical innovation curve instead of leading it. Employees are not afforded the same tools that customers could buy. Massive layoffs are ruthless and nonsensical, without the execs, who should have foreseen and managed an industry downturn, taking no pay cuts to help at least some keep their livelihoods. Some loyal employees with over 20 years at Dell got the ax with no notice so that their jobs could be filled cheaper offshore. You can do everything right and still get laid off, especially in the US. Shameful.

Pros

The people are the best part of this job. I have met so many amazing people in this role. Even some I would consider life long friends. I think the experience gained from this job has also been useful for any sales role you may need for any future endeavors in sales or the tech industry.

Cons

Upper management has made many changes to the compensation and the metrics which has for sure effected employee satisfaction. Turnover rate is insane as there’s a new hire class literally every month. Dell itself is running out of room and they are not making any new teams for the new hire classes which has left more tenured reps in a vulnerable position.
