Pros
In comparison with other companies in Bratislava/Slovakia definitely best compensation and benefits.
Cons
1. One of the largest (if not largest) decentralized organizational structure with probably the highest percentage of managers and directors on regular employees. 2. Large obsession with details (no wonder with so many managers), while loosing the top overview of "what's going on" 3. Obsession with "grades" - the moment you enter Dell in Bratislava there is a solid guarantee you will hear the topic "grades" every simple day! - at your working place, in corridor, canteen or even in the lift. 4. Immatured Slovak managerial staff - except of few (actually very few) who joined Dell in Bratislava as "already made" managers 5. "Academic" environment - there are some technically very good and knowledgeable employees, but not everyone with ACCA certificate can really apply that hardly acquired knowledge when solving the real problems (sad) 6. Last cons - especially in B'lava - is for career opportunities, not because there are none, on the contrary, but because transparent and fair hiring is sometimes sacrificed to "friendly networking". At this moment I would NOT recommend Dell as the employer due to upcoming privatization and especially what this will bring. Lots of cleaning processes is expected - though there is a kind of embargo on the details (logically). I will give it a time - 1-2 years.
