Pros
Name reputation and experience with mega-large company. It's had a great legacy and continues to offer good, solid products. There is a a continued focus on being the lowest cost provider which helps win/maintain market share. The customer facing side of Dell's sales group is great, support is catching up and overall customers are pretty happy
Cons
Dell grew very fast and was the darling of The Street. The growth was so fast and little attention or investment in systems or processes that as the company grew it needed more and more people to complete simple processes because they were manually intensive. The lack of IT and process design, as well as limited investment in packaged software leaves Dell with island of IT automation which makes work extra cumbersome and processes subject to breaking
