Pros

The people and peers make it worth being there. Ft Mill office is a cool space. Some people work really hard, and supporting clients, you feel like you have a mission and a team.

Cons

The building doesn't work. This beautiful IOT building doesn't have the technology to back it up. Wireless shuts down often, you cannot get good reception inside the office. And if you tell management, they get mad. Like, don't bring it up.... Especially if there are clients around. How can we sell IOT if we can't get it right in our own building? All the collaboration spaces really aren't collaborative, but instead cliques. People don't actually communicate with each other. I took on several new initiatives, new teams, and new leadership. Never with a raise, never a thank you, never an acknowledgement of a job well done. Just more work, no compensation change or any other benefit. From my leadership, from HR, from anyone outside the team I managed. People stay here a long time, almost by default. Because it doesn't suck enough, or because they are more afraid of what's out there. They are in a groove, and like the weather, if you stay long enough, it will change and go back to the way it was. We sell solutions to clients, and operations has to figure out how to deliver. It is always a complete nightmare to get it complete. Leadership is weak, we reorg every three months. They don't give enough time to let a reorg settle and flourish. They try to make managers do it all, and HR doesn't have support from leadership to affect change and say "stop, we need a moment to let this work."
