Pros

Working in CAPCO Bangalore from last 4 years, good place to work because - salaries are good, even useless resources are getting good salaries - work is good, earlier was MUREX shop but now other work in Retail banking space for PM,PMO, Good project managers. - not a bad company for Java and microsoft technology, although small but still company takes good care of such people either by compensating them or by allowing them to move to other skills. - Very friendly to employees, lots of parties - Not a company for those who want to have easy life, who can hide behind and continue to survive for years like in large IT services firms such as Infosys, wipro, TCS. - Any person who want to explore and experiment with minimum intervention, good place to be in. - fruits a day - there are good number of people who are >5 years in firm, which means it knows how to take care of good performers - Good murex trainings - laptops to everyone even freshers, sim card to everyone, data dongle to good number of people(pm approves though but everyone gets it) - personalized cabs for chosen few, luck guys - separate program to nurture freshers and groom them, never seen in big firms such a focus and investment.

Cons

- need to be more strict in handling non performers - travels are less, management to find how to get travels opportunities for its employees - more trainings to employees - stronger HR team - find good resources who are not here for money but for contribution, end of the day it is still a small firm who need only talent not average performers - compensate your great performers, you are treating them like avgerage performers, even rewarding well avg performers. - do more clean up - more friendly finance team - realize people that if you pay, you means business. - more stronger sr management and project managers, very less credible and good managers today, hardly 2-3.

Pros

Varied client work — Different clients and project types, which keeps things interesting. Real project mobility — You can move between projects when you advocate for yourself (within reason). Approachable leadership — Senior leaders are open to conversations if you reach out. Good development resources — Plenty of training and growth opportunities if you take advantage of them. Strong teams — Colleagues are smart, capable, and great to work with. Entrepreneurial environment — New ideas are encouraged, and there’s room to take initiative.

Cons

Long hours vary by project — Like most any professional job, some engagements require extended hours for prolonged periods, but work–life balance really depends on the client and team. Additional internal responsibilities — Depending on level, there can be a significant amount of firm‑support work outside of client delivery. Domain alignment not guaranteed — You may not always be staffed on projects that match your domain expertise. Coaching alignment constraints — Coaching relationships are tied to domain, which limits flexibility in choosing formal mentors. Long engagements (sometimes) — Some projects run for long durations or through multiple extensions. It can provides stability but may reduce variety in client and project experience depending on what you’re looking for.
