Pros
I joined the company 3 months ago and my experience so far has been great. You have: - access to very approachable senior management - training to develop your consulting skills - several social events (senior management engagement events, bar socials, a trip to Puerto Rico for all of NA!, team building events, clubs (skiing, tennis, etc) - opportunities to engage in non-client initiatives. (volunteering, start-ups, internal initiatives, etc.) - very entrepreneurial spirit (room to evolve and have input on how the company evolves) - A very charismatic CEO who is personable and easy to talk to. Built the company and has been there from day one. It is his passion. - Dedicated senior leaders who are looking to make the company a better place. Constant opportunities to provide feedback.
Cons
There is a large variety of projects at Capco so it is important to express your interests and aim for a project you enjoy. (some projects will be less interesting than others depending on individual interests) There are strategy project, change sourcing, implementation, and yes staff aug(like any other consulting firm). The company has been growing extremely fast and improving every month. With all the growth and interest in the company HR/HC is having difficulty keeping pace. Expanding HR/HC is planned for 2015 and hopefully it will help. It can be difficult to get away from the client to get involved in the Capco side of work which is where you really experience the great culture Capco has. It is important to get involved but this can be difficult with client responsibilities.
