Pros

Responsibility, take as much as you want, pro active people won't be disappointed. There's lots to do as the business is growing fast so you can always find a core role but develop additional areas in parallel.

Cons

Changing culture and bonuses have been historically mixed. The last few years bonuses have been poor and time barred due to write downs outside the control of the people.

Thanks for your feedback and we're pleased to hear that you enjoyed your time at Capco! Capco's culture of meritocracy and empowerment enables employees to take on responsibility right from the start, regardless of level, in a supportive and dynamic work environment. Employees have the opportunity to work across different areas of the business on client projects as well as the ability to shape the firm by getting involved in areas which interest them whether that's recruitment, CSR, coaching or introducing a new process or tool at Capco. Whilst there have been some changes in leadership over the past year, the leadership team remains committed to fostering Capco's unique culture and recognise that this is one of the key reasons why people join our firm. Our global CEO recently shared his personal commitment to this at an employee event and all our locations remain focused on retaining the family feel and fun elements which make Capco such a unique place to work. In addition, we have recently launched a global performance management pilot supported by a mobile app, which provides employees with greater transparency around their ongoing performance and how they are assessed. The process has been developed based on employee feedback and employees are continually invited to share their feedback on the pilot to shape future enhancements. As a firm, we definitely intend to keep the fun and culture going!

Pros

Varied client work — Different clients and project types, which keeps things interesting. Real project mobility — You can move between projects when you advocate for yourself (within reason). Approachable leadership — Senior leaders are open to conversations if you reach out. Good development resources — Plenty of training and growth opportunities if you take advantage of them. Strong teams — Colleagues are smart, capable, and great to work with. Entrepreneurial environment — New ideas are encouraged, and there’s room to take initiative.

Cons

Long hours vary by project — Like most any professional job, some engagements require extended hours for prolonged periods, but work–life balance really depends on the client and team. Additional internal responsibilities — Depending on level, there can be a significant amount of firm‑support work outside of client delivery. Domain alignment not guaranteed — You may not always be staffed on projects that match your domain expertise. Coaching alignment constraints — Coaching relationships are tied to domain, which limits flexibility in choosing formal mentors. Long engagements (sometimes) — Some projects run for long durations or through multiple extensions. It can provides stability but may reduce variety in client and project experience depending on what you’re looking for.
